Is catetin.ai available in ChatGPT?

Yes. catetin.ai is published as an app in ChatGPT. Search for catetin.ai in ChatGPT's apps, select Connect and sign in with your catetin.ai account.

Does catetin.ai work with Claude?

Not yet. The catetin.ai connector for Claude is coming soon. Today you can use catetin.ai in ChatGPT and in the catetin.ai app on Android, iPhone, web and desktop.

Can ChatGPT scan my receipts?

Yes. Attach a receipt photo and ask the assistant to scan it. catetin.ai returns a transaction draft, and the expense is saved only after you confirm. Each scan uses one receipt scan and one chat from your catetin.ai quota.

Is the catetin.ai connector free?

Connecting is free and reading your data does not use quota. Scans, exports, group messages and saved chat turns use your catetin.ai quota, which includes a free plan.

Use catetin.ai in ChatGPT

The catetin.ai app for ChatGPT lets ChatGPT work with your catetin.ai account: read groups, transactions, summaries, and dashboards; record and organize transactions; manage categories, groups, and members; export reports; scan receipts and voice notes; and chat in your group conversation. Every change is previewed and applied only after you confirm it. It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and signs you in with your own catetin.ai account. Support for Claude is coming soon.

What you need

A catetin.ai account. Sign up for free in the catetin.ai app with Google or Apple.
At least one group in catetin.ai, or ask the assistant to create one.
A ChatGPT account that can use apps.

Connect in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open the apps directory, search for catetin.ai and select Connect.
Sign in with the Google or Apple account you use for catetin.ai and approve the permissions.
Start a chat and ask about your finances, for example the prompts below.

Permissions

You approve these permissions when you connect. The connector can only reach groups you are a member of, and every request is checked against your account and your role in the group on the catetin.ai server. If you connected before new permissions were added, disconnect and connect again to approve them.

How changes are confirmed

Transactions are never changed in one step:

The assistant prepares a draft and shows you a preview of the change.
Nothing is saved until you confirm. Drafts expire after 15 minutes.
On confirmation, catetin.ai checks your access again and applies the change once, even if the request is retried.

Other changes marked confirm, such as deleting a group, removing a member, sending a message, or scanning a receipt, first return a preview without changing anything. The assistant applies them only after you say yes. Requests that create something or use quota carry a unique key, so a retry is never applied twice.

Usage and quota

Reading groups, categories, transactions, summaries, dashboards, messages, your profile, and usage does not use your catetin.ai AI quota.
Scanning a receipt uses one receipt scan and one chat. Scanning a voice note uses one voice note and one chat.
Sending a group message uses one chat, plus one receipt scan if you attach an image. Saving a chat turn counts toward your chat quota, the same as chatting in the app.
Each export uses one export from your quota. New categories, groups, and members count toward your plan's limits.
Quota top-ups you bought are used when your plan quota runs out. A failed or repeated request is not counted twice.
ChatGPT's own replies are covered by your ChatGPT plan.

Data and privacy

catetin.ai only receives what the assistant sends through these tools. Your other ChatGPT conversations are not visible to catetin.ai.
A conversation turn is stored in catetin.ai only when you ask to save it. Transactions you confirm are stored in your group like any other transaction.
Receipt photos, voice notes, message images, and profile photos you send are stored by catetin.ai and processed by its AI where noted above.
Export download links are private to you, work once, and expire after about 10 minutes. Ask again for a new link.
Invitation codes, passwords, and stored file links are never returned to the assistant, and message lists don't include other members' emails.
catetin.ai does not sell or rent your personal data.
Data you share with the assistant is also handled under OpenAI's terms.

Disconnect

In ChatGPT, disconnect catetin.ai from the app's settings.
Disconnecting stops new access. To delete your catetin.ai data, delete your account in the app under Settings → Edit Profile → Delete Account.

Troubleshooting

Sign-in fails with Apple: sign in to the catetin.ai app with Apple once, then connect again.
“Additional authorization is required”: a tool needs a permission you haven't approved yet. Disconnect catetin.ai and connect again.
“Draft expired”: ask the assistant to prepare the change again and confirm within 15 minutes.
Missing groups or transactions: make sure you signed in with the same account you use in the app, and that you are a member of the group.
Not allowed to change a group: managing a group and its members needs the owner or admin role, and only the owner can delete the group.
Download link doesn't work: links work once and expire after about 10 minutes. Ask for the export status again to get a new link.
Out of quota: scans, messages, saved chat turns, and exports need quota. Check your plan with “How much AI chat quota do I have left?”
